Due to tremendous growth, we are looking for a passionate Product Engineer to join our growing team.
The Product Engineer is a core position on the product management team and is responsible for the collection, specification, and management of software-intensive systems requirements. This is a critical role in the product development process as the quality of the final product is directly related to the quality and completeness of the requirements. The main product line is a software platform that is delivered in the cloud. The solution provides management capability for Corporate IT departments to manage a wide array of mobile devices (Smartphones, Tablets as well as Laptops) as well as improve productivity of their End users. Focus platforms are iOS, Android, BlackBerry, Windows Phone 7 as well as Windows laptops and Macs.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for helping define the product roadmap as well as in, creating detailed System Requirement Specifications for the Development and Quality team to work upon in building the solution.
Meet with various internal and external stakeholders to collect system requirements
Perform product assessments and evaluations
Drive Usability discussions and User Interface designs
Schedule and facilitate system requirements reviews
Participate in development, testing, and deployment reviews to assure requirements are being properly addressed
Manage and communicate changes to system requirements
Skills Required:
1 to 3 years experience with performing product engineering activities (especially for Product Companies)
- Developing Use Cases
- Leading or facilitating requirements gathering sessions
BS/MBA
Experience of customer facing assignments in a domain expert role
Experience of being a domain expert for enterprise applications (especially ones delivered in SAAS model)
Knowledge of Mobile Device Platforms a plus
Experience in Usability studies and User interaction design
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work well independently while being flexible and adaptable to rapid change.
Ability to set priorities, accommodate requirement changes and resource changes.
