Product Engineer to provide analytical assessment of technical engineering data including technical drawings in order to analyze, recommend, identify and correct engineering design problems for each specific product throughout the product development life-cycle. Examine technical engineering design documents for completeness and accuracy.
Communicate with engineering, technical and manufacturing personnel on technical product specifications throughout product development life-cycle including prototype and production stages of project.
Analyze project proposal to determine feasibility, cost, and time-lines required to complete product development life-cycle.
Product design, engineering, and project production processes including heat transfer and hydraulics principles, mechanical design and manufacturing processes, principles of electro-mechanical systems design and engineering, pneumatic systems principles, pressure vessel technology, metal properties and characteristics.
Mutliple Positions Available.
Require M.S. Mechanical Engineering or related area or, alternatively, a B.S. degree plus 5 years experience.
Also requires:
Proficiency in 3D parametric CAD/CAM software applications, such as Pro/Engineer, including drafting within different disciplines of CAD/CAM and CAE (Computer Aided Engineering) applications; understanding of complex mechanical engineering concepts and design processes; ability to create complex models and drawings from a variety of source documents; knowledge of various manufacturing processes and ability to apply this knowledge to execute a project, to integrate customer deliverable data against the conversion/quality specification and source data.
