Shazam is seeking an outstanding Product Manager to help us realize this vision through developing industry-leading mobile advertising experiences.
The following are the key deliverables expected of the successful candidate.
Write business and product requirements in sufficient detail to evaluate, build & market Shazam advertising products, focused particularly on in-app advertising products
Collaborate with the UI design, business development, sales, marketing and engineering teams on PRDs, UI specs, development schedules and launch plans
Partner closely with development teams to ensure clarity of requirements and effective delivery
Develop and maintain detailed ad product specification documentation for use by the Sales, Marketing, Account Management and Ad Operations teams, for both new products and updating all existing product specifications
Coordinate user acceptance testing of new ad products, ensuring they meet all requirements and meet launch deadlines
Provide second-level trouble-shooting support to Ad Operations for problems with ad products, coordinate trouble-shooting process for more complex problems, including coordinating internal engineering teams and third party engineering and support teams
Develop detailed understanding of the capabilities and limitations of third party ad serving platforms we work with, act as internal expert on these platforms, ensuring that all ad product development is integrated with designated third party ad serving platforms
Identify blocks and problems with current ad products, develop and implement solutions to these issues
Coordinate formal roll out process for new ad products and ensure they are clearly documented for internal and external stakeholders
Maintain and report on key product metrics and KPIs, using insight from these KPIs to inform further advertising product development
Act as category expert within the company, backed up with competitive and market analysis
Evaluate existing and new products to provide constructive ideas for change
The role reports to the Director, Product (Advertising).
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering innovative mobile ad products at scale in a consumer product. This experience may have been gained through working in mobile advertising product development for a large mobile advertiser or for an advertising technology company. He or she should have a good understanding of mobile ad products and ad serving technology. He or she will be motivated to solve technical and complex problems, with strong attention to detail and excellent project management skills.
Skills & Experience
Desirable skills and qualifications:
Experience as a product manager working on mobile advertising products or related product development
Good understanding of mobile advertising products and ad serving technology
Ability to understand and communicate a complex technical concept
Capable of interacting with partners and other external parties in a professional manner
Strong project management skills and experience
Strong experience presenting and collaborating on product design with cross-functional teams
Management of international/or multiple, simultaneous product launches
Experience of working in SCRUM or other Agile environments
Familiarity with collaborative tools such as wikis and bug tracking systems
Education to Degree standard ? BSc, BA or equivalent
Excellent command of English
