Product Manager, Americas mBlox

Under direction of the Global Production Director, this position is responsible for managing the Americas production team with the following specific tasks:
Pro-actively monitor and maintain the mBlox networks, systems and applications
Respond to faults raised by the Network Management Center (NMC) and escalations from Customer Support (CS)
Work on resolving the faults while maintaining compliance with internal and external SLA (Service Level Agreements)
Where interaction with a customer/operator/deliverer is required, work with 2nd line CS and the NMC
Keep the NMC and CS updated on project progress so they can manage customer/external notifications and escalations
Pro-actively maintain the mBlox infrastructure ? system housekeeping, backups/archiving for production systems, installation of software upgrades & manage system security
Coordinate with mBlox product stream teams and external vendors to facilitate the deployment of new and revised technology into the mBlox network
Work with the product stream teams to resolve identified defects or bugs for incorporation into future software releases or patches
Act as technical advisors for Account Management and Sales teams
Understand and take responsibility for the entire mBlox network during US core business hours
Oversee other production teams in EMEA (Europe, the Middle East and Africa) and APAC (Asia Pacific) taking responsibility for US network in their core hours
Ensure that the right resources, skills, processes and tools are in place to ensure that network management is done effectively and efficiently within the Americas region.
Ensure excellent coordination between this role and the other regional Production Managers, NMC, CS, and other mBlox teams
Ensure the stability, maintainability, and scalability of the Americas MTP and other platforms
Maintain good relationships with internal and external suppliers/resolver groups (e.g. CS, Product stream teams, Account Management)
Ensure the right people and skills are in place to help mBlox succeed and excel.
Operate, monitor, and maintain the Americas network components (servers, data centers, software, systems, databases, infrastructure, networks, security, etc) and be responsible for the global mBlox network during the US working day.
Put in place best practice processes
Promote a culture of pro-active support, preventative maintenance and a thorough/careful approach to change management
Encourage initiatives to provide better monitoring and management tools
Create and track key performance indicators with the goal of continuous improvement
Provide leadership, direction and mentoring to the team
Provide leadership of the Network Management function in the Americas region
Oversee the supervision of personnel, which includes work allocation, training, and problem resolution
Evaluate performance and make recommendations for personnel actions
Motivate employees to achieve peak productivity and performance
MSEE or foreign degree equivalent plus 2 years exp in job offered or related (Production Engineer). Will accept MSEE or BSEE + 5 years experience in job offered. Implementation & maintenance of mBlox core messaging/billing and application platform. Application deployment, troubleshooting and administration. Management of indigenous mBlox platform & carrier connections. Working on analysis/design and deployment of project related tasks that include carrier mandates / client connections or internal mBlox prprocessLinux system administration and application monitoring using trouble ticketing systems TCP/IP Networking. Client/server applications, such as SMPP, SMTP, HTTP, TLS, SSH, SQL. Database management systems. Java-run time environments. Perl and Shell Scripting. Optimization of hardware systems, applications and network management. Examination and re-engineering operations and procedures. Excellent communication, analytical & technical skills.
