The Product Manager for Arbor's service initiatives is responsible for the full product lifecycle management of Arbor's service strategy. Arbor is the industry's leading Denial of Service detection solution and is used by the world's leading service providers and enterprise data centers for security, network engineering, and managed security services.
The Services Product Manager will drive Arbor's strategy and requirements for professional services wrapping existing products, security services as well as define the business case and execute on future SaaS or cloud services. The successful candidate will have a strong background and knowledge of cloud-based service P&L's as well as relevant security technologies. Additionally, candidates should have experience with product and product life cycle management.
Job Requirements
Strategy and Business Case Development
? Under direction of the Director - develop the business case and strategy for growth including market assessment, competitive analysis, and funding requirements.
Requirements Development
? Prioritize service requirements in concert with the strategy and needs of Arbor's products
? Interface with R&D, engineering & support groups to develop effective requirements and use cases
? Manage detailed requirements through development, QA and operational process to ensure that they will meet customer expectations
Sales Support
? Provide roadmap presentations to customers
? Develop and deliver training to the sales force and channels / partners
? Support sales in responding to RFPs & RFQs
Marketing Support
? Ensure success in reviews, analyst updates and press announcements or engagements
? Provide technical support for trade shows and service announcements
? Develop raw content for marketing collateral including technical white papers, application briefs, and other deliverables
Partner/OEM support
? Partner integration & demonstration
? Identify & formulate integration plan for partner products/technologies
Competitive Analysis
? Frequently monitor/compare competitive products and services on the market
? Develop and maintain competitive intelligence database
? Analyze markets to identify market trends and customer needs
Location: Chelmsford, MA or Ann Arbor, MI
Qualifications
Experience
- A combination of 7+ years of technical marketing, sales engineering, or product management experience preferred.
- Individuals with extensive experience working with service provider products or within service provider environments.
- Network routing (BGP, IGP, IP/MPLS) or network security (DDOS) background at service providers is preferred.
- Experience in an agile development environment preferred but not required
