Job Summary
The preferred candidate will have experience in API security and management solutions, and at least 4 years in a customer-facing role. Technical sales and consulting experience, a plus. As a Product Manager at Ping Identity, you will engage with customers to understand detailed use cases and drive requirements into the Ping Identity product planning process for the API Security technologies within PingFederate, Ping Identity's flagship on-premise software, and PingOne, Ping?s new release on-demand service. You will have the opportunity to interact with key stakeholders inside and outside of the company with a primary focus on the business and technical aspects of Ping Identity's product offering.

Job Functions
Gather customer, prospect and technology partner input to understand customer scenarios and technical requirements and act as technical expert on customer use cases
Provide detailed input into product planning process and priority of features for communication to engineering
Develop detailed technical requirements and work closely with engineering feature and component teams during elaboration to ensure customer requirements are being met
Create technical user personas and user scenarios where necessary for strategic or innovative technology products, features or enhancements
Coordinate with Chief Technology Officer on monitoring technology and industry innovations
Support for technology based partnerships, including technical expertise on Ping Identity products, identifying technical integration points, technology value proposition and creation of complimentary technical presentation materials
Develop plan for staying current with Partner releases, as well as creating road maps to address new or changing technical requirements
Creation of technically oriented materials including internal and external tech notes, whitepapers, and customer-facing technical presentations
Essential Qualifications
Previous experience in a customer facing roles (product manager, consultant or field support) for a software product offering
Experience developing 6 quarter road-maps
Experience with API security and management systems
Experience developing mission critical enterprise software, including proven experience with high volume transaction systems
Experience developing middleware, in both agent-based and agent-less architectures and proxies.
Experience developing web security architectures, such as, secure token services for SOAP and REST using OAuth authorization services and/or STS.
Experience developing for Java and .Net environments
Previous experience working with an Agile Engineering organization
