Description:The Product Manager is responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle and defining the product vision. The Product Manager's job also includes ensuring that the product supports the company's overall strategy and goals. The Product Manager will typically repot to a Senior manager or Director.
The Product Manager is expected to:
1. Define the product strategy and roadmap
2. Work with stakeholders to maintain alignment with overall product strategy
3. Develop business plan for products
4. Work on cross-functional team to translate customer needs and technology directions into product definitions
5. Translate customer/clients needs into new features and new services.
6. Write and implement product specifications
7. Establish processes and priorities for product release
8. Act as a leader within the company
9. Think big and innovate to get the company ahead of the curve
10. Come up with great product ideas around technology and education and being able to evangelize it and execute
11. Constantly keep up with the competitive market place
12. Ability to manage partner expectations w.r.t product enhancements
Requirements include but are not limited to:
1. Hands-on experience
2. Excellent teamwork skills
3. Prior experience in the Education space is a huge plus
4. Be motivated and energetic
5. Know how a website works UI
6. Bachelors degree (MBA preferred)
7. 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager preferred
8. Self learner who can thrive on the challenges of an exciting start-up environment
9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
