Product Manager, BI Solutions iMODULES
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED iModules Software, a leading provider of online collaboration and engagement tools primarily for higher education, is seeking a Product Manager, BI Solutions, with a proven track record of successfully driving new and add-on products for a successful software company. This position will own our new business intelligence products, incorporating new and existing ideas based on your industry experience and your contact with customers and prospects. You must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy; a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. You must enjoy spending time in the market to understand market problems and finding innovative solutions for the broader market.
iModules Software provides technology solutions and services to help organizations (primarily higher education) achieve their missions and build meaningful relationships through member engagement and online communication. With more than 900 clients reaching more than 90 million constituents, iModules delivers our SaaS-based products with easy-to-use tools for website management, data management, email marketing, event management, online giving, membership management, volunteer fundraising, and social networking integration. We deliver a 100% SaaS solution that our customers can extensively configure to meet their specific brand requirements and business needs. We host over 2TB of data, including demographics, web-actions, and transactional data.
As the Product Manager, BI Solutions, you will work closely with other product, development, client services, and marketing team members, and you will be responsible for managing product roadmap and release activities. This includes management of product requirements and defining go-to-market strategies, including positioning, benefits, and the target customer. You will serve as the internal and external evangelist for your products, working with the marketing team, customer advisory and focus groups, client services staff, and the sales channel. You will own the business plans (planning, execution, evaluation) for our business intelligence offerings. You will prioritize the BI product roadmaps and will help define overall business strategy, which may leverage innovative products/services and partners to drive positive momentum in a niche market.
The key outcomes of product management activities is to drive adoption of iModules solutions in our selected markets, set realistic expectations for new and expanding customers to foster customer satisfaction and loyalty, and ensure the desired financial outcomes of our offerings. Success in this role is defined as achieving and exceeding business plan goals and objectives while ensuring that we have delivered solutions that meet customer and market needs, resulting in high levels of customer satisfaction, expansion of our relationship with them, and their providing strong references to other potential customers.
Managing the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities
Specifying market requirements for current and future products supported by research and on-going interaction with customers and non-customers.
Driving a solution set across internal teams (primarily software development, client services, and marketing) through market requirements, product contract, and positioning.
Collaborating with marketing on a company-wide go-to-market plan, working with all departments to execute
Analyzing potential partner relationships
Drive toward attainment of company revenue, profitability, and cash flow goals
Work collaboratively with other company team members around business planning
Develop and refine product metrics and key performance indicators; plan and achieve quarterly and annual metrics and goals
Develop strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders (clients, prospects, partners)
7+ years of relevant experience, which may include all or some of the following:
Product management for a technology company
Business intelligence software and services solutions
Knowledgeable in current technology trends and forward thinking, in particular in a SaaS environment
Managing customer advisory and focus groups and relationships
Passion for web tech and social media
Zeal for customer-centricity
Comfortable interacting with customer, prospect, and company staff at all levels
Understand how to build and take action upon customer/prospect intelligence
Strong quantitative analysis
Higher education, as an ?employee of? or ?provider to?
Alumni/constituent relations, fundraising, or marketing/communications experience, preferably in higher education
Superb strategic thinking, outstanding written and oral communication, and exceptional facilitation and presentation skills
Location: we have a strong preference that this individual be based in the Kansas City area.
Travel as required, up to 20% of the time
