Essential Job Description:
We are seeking a Product Manager with expertise in one or more of the following areas in the MI and Pro Audio markets: guitars, guitar amps, effects, live sound, recording, audio interfaces and music and audio software. The Product Manager is responsible for discovering innovative new products that deliver high value to the end user and the company and can be delivered with the available resources in the required timeframe. In this position you will provide overall leadership, coordination and management for new products in a focused category. This includes developing multi-year market strategies and lifecycle roadmaps for the category as well as taking a leadership role on the team dedicated to conceiving and developing the products.
Responsibilities include:
Articulate and drive a realizable vision for the product category that is aligned with the companys long term strategic objectives; define product features and prioritize them according to customer value; responsibility for the commercial success of the products; guide and collaborate with the development team on behalf of creating products that generate evangelism in our customers and drive profitability for the company.
Qualifications:
An ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a history of driving the conception and development of commercially successful high-tech products as well as deep customer and market expertise in the domains of music and audio technology.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and at least five years related music industry and/or pro audio experience with demonstrated abilities to define market requirements as well as manage projects and budgets.
Being a committed musician with extensive gear/software knowledge and experience is essential
verbal, written and visual communication skills must be excellent.
Skills Required:
Business computing skills are essential (MS Office).
Project Management and/or Agile Product Owner skills are highly valued.
Interpersonal skills must be highly developed; you will be required to solicit the input of a diverse selection of people inside and outside of the company.
Strong negotiating skills and the ability to build consensus across functional boundaries.
Must have a demonstrated ability to create effective plans and manage multiple diverse tasks while balancing short-term and long-term goals.
