The Product Manager will be an integral part of our Women?s Health marketing team executing both upstream and downstream strategies for growth in this key market for our company.
Drive OmniGuide Surgical?s market penetration in the Women?s Health surgical space:
Establish OmniGuide products as a standard for care for surgical / interventional procedures.
Help to plan and execute strategies for growth in a key business area
Initiate and manage relationships with key customers
Build surgeon awareness through tradeshow and course participation
Upstream Marketing (Product Development)
Assess opportunity for new product development efforts through market research, NPV calculations and voice of the customer collection
Develop and advance OmniGuide Surgical?s product offering by acting as project lead for new products targeted to Women?s Health procedures
Define customer needs and help to translate them into design requirements
Manage cross-functional teams on new product development efforts
Complete detailed and accurate business plans for each Phase of the development process
Lead efforts to assess product performance with customers
Develop sales collateral and coordinate promotional strategies with sales management
Develop sales training modules in in order to train reps on new products
Attend surgical procedures and work with clinicians to assess product performance, customer needs and sales team capabilities
Self development and product knowledge:
Maintain high standards of personal presentation, and promote a professional personal and company image.
Develop and maintain comprehensive clinical and technical product knowledge.
Recognize and understand competitive products, features, strengths in relation to the company?s products.
Actively participate in skills development programs
BS required; MBA or MS in Science or Engineering preferred
Must have 2 ? 4 years product management experience or operational experience in a medical device or operating room environment.
Must be able to develop in-depth knowledge of the clinical specialty and have a well-rounded understanding of the nature of surgical tasks commonly performed.
Must be able to establish and maintain the multiple layers of relationships within the product development process
Must possess excellent communication skills (oral and written).
Must demonstrate strong leadership skills within a cross-functional team.
Prior experience training and working with sales personnel, surgical and hospital staff preferred.
Must show basic knowledge and exposure to the biomedical field.
Must be able to travel 30% of time
