Product Manager - Card Programs WiredBenefits
Position Summary
We are currently seeking an experienced product professional with a demonstrated record of success in bringing new Point of Sale ("POS") products to market and defining and implementing initiatives that increase product utilization. Product management methodologies, strong leadership, communication and business consulting skills from a POS-related company are essential. Past experience in healthcare is desirable but not necessary. The ideal candidate might come from one of two directions: 1) understands the POS transaction process at the retailer level, or, 2) has been involved with card-based promotions / adherence / compliance in the pharmaceutical arena.
Job Responsibilities
- Work with sales, finance and development teams to define products
- Define the product strategy and roadmap
- Deliver MRDs and PRDs with prioritized features and corresponding justification
- Work with external third parties to assess partnerships and licensing opportunities
- Run beta and pilot programs with early-stage products and samples
- Be an expert with respect to the competition
- Interact with issuing banks and associations as required
- Gather and analyze data, perform cost / benefit analyses
- Identify and document product requirements and procedures
- Facilitate product testing
- Create internal / client training materials
- Create product implementation guides
- Design product reports and monitor product utilization, revenues and expenses
- Research and resolve vendor, client and cardholder issues related to products
Job Requirements
- Strong interest and or experience in the healthcare industry
- Technical product management experience in the prepaid card space highly preferred
- Bachelors degree
- 3-5 years experience with the principles, practices and techniques of product management in a POS environment
- Experience integrating the components of open and closed loop card payment processes; in-lane POS, retail loyalty, merchant acquisition, and payment processing
- Deep technical understanding of retail transaction switching, acquisition and processing topology
- Demonstrated ability in problem-solving and analysis
- Ability to interface with technology professionals and define products with a technology component
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including facilitation of groups toward deliverables
- Ability to represent WiredBenefits to clients, to gather requirements and demonstrate products
- Ability to interact with vendors.
