Product Manager Thinkvine
We are looking for a bright energetic Product Manager to help grow our Marketing Mix Optimization software business. In this role, you will be responsible for all aspects of defining, prioritizing and communicating product features from market/customer understanding through product development, launch and market feedback.
Responsibilities include:
Drive high value new features by researching and writing effective stories describing customer needs.
Collect and manage the ideas for innovation and product features through their life cycles. Analyze and report as needed; support and participate in the roadmap and release planning processes.
Champion product adoption and usage with internal teams and customers including demonstrating, training, and presenting new software features. Document existing product features for better understanding by customers and ThinkVine team members.
Communicate regularly status of products in planning, in development, and in the field.
Develop deep understanding of our customers, target market and competitive landscape.
Develop and provide timely and accurate analysis of competitors and industry trends.
Translate strategic differentiators into innovative and detailed product requirements.
Collaborate with R&D and Engineering teams on innovation value, user experience, design, architecture, technical and schedule tradeoffs and new technologies with technical comfort/fluency.
Arm the sales team with concise knowledge of competitive offerings, market landscape, product positioning to assist them in delivering rapid and repeatable sales and renewals.
Help improve our product management processes to increase innovation and scale our business
Skills Needed:
Knowledge of software product management including processes and practices for defining and developing software products using agile methodology.
Knowledge of statistical modeling concepts, techniques and applications, preferably in a marketing context.
Experience in data collection, cleaning, management, analysis and reporting essential.
Strong communicator with the ability to organize information, clearly explain concepts and processes, provide persuasive support for ideas, and effectively demonstrate software.
Requires excellent skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Strong skills in project management, time management and problem solving along with the ability to seek out information through personal contact and secondary research.
Technical background preferred. Good understanding of database and web technologies.
Strong skills in cross-functional collaboration, communication and influence.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills; strong bias towards data-based decision making; ability to synthesize a range of quantitative and qualitative information into concrete, actionable market insights and product requirements.
College graduate with relevant coursework and/or experience in statistical modeling and marketing, marketing analytics or social sciences, engineering or computer science.
2-4 years of product management experience in software or technology business.
