Description:Product Manager ? Academic Records
This position will be responsible for managing the student product?s life cycle. The candidate applying for this position must be an expert and be considered an Industry Expert in the Student Academic area.
The core responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Responsibilities
?Understand and have experience working with software technology.
?Provide the sales team with necessary technical expertise to enable them to sell the product
?Working with Product Marketing to develop product materials and assisting, when necessary, the sales process in promoting the product.
?Responsible for keeping up to date on the newest developments in higher education, including federal regulatory requirements, competitor?s products and market trends.
?Act as the first point of escalation for all product related inquiries and work collaboratively with PD and support services to address any product issues that may arise. This will include evaluating product defects and enhancement requests to determine the prioritization of projects based on PD resources.
?Represent the company at the annual customer meeting in the academic records area doing presentations and monitoring and contributing to customers? presentations.
?Work with customer groups to determine market demand and flush out requirements for enhancements to existing or new product development. This may include creating detailed functional specifications and change requests for Product Development which outlines new products and enhancements to the Student module.
?Participate as a collaborative member of the Product Management team in the designing of integrated components, overall product user experience, constituent relationship management components and other features that cross module boundaries. This will include researching, planning and delivering functional specifications for regulatory updates with sufficient time to insure timely delivery.
Experience/Skills/Education Required/Desired:
?3+ years of experience as a Product Manager
?Higher Education experience in the academic records area
?Bachelor?s Degree
?Excellent written and oral communication skills including presentation experience to large and diverse audiences
