The Product Manager is responsible for product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including: gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with development, sales, sales support, marketing, executive management and customer support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The Product Manager must also ensure that the product supports the company's overall strategy and goals.
The Product Manager must understand the demand for the product they manage, identify potential customers, stay informed of any competing products on the market, develop pricing strategies and oversee product development. This individual will work with marketing and sales staff to develop marketing literature, enablement tools and the overall product message to promote products and services, balance and innovation.
The Product Manager may also oversee special projects such as focus groups, surveys and competitive evaluations to keep current with technological developments; and to collect and provide feedback for improvements to current products and service improvements; as well as, new product and service development. The ideal candidate will be able to supervise project teams, think creatively, focus on the overall objectives of the company and interact with other corporate areas.
