Position Summary:
The Product Manager, Content will drive new product development and existing product enhancements for Knovel.com. This role requires all aspects of project management for online product from generation of new ideas, product specifications development to project roadmap management, collaboration with a cross-functional team and reporting on any impacts and results.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop new products and innovative website features to increase website visits from existing customers and develop new business.
Guide new products and content initiatives throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting and tailoring solutions for all the markets in which Knovel has a customer base.
Work within cross functional teams including development, sales and marketing to complete tactical activities including market requirements, product planning, new product positioning, rollout/launch plans.
Seek continual enhancement of existing product with additional content and content features to increase revenue and product profitability. Seek opportunities for new products to generate new revenue and profitability of the product line.
Consult with Director, Content Strategy and management team to determine goals, timeframe, funding, allotment of resources and procedures for accomplishing objectives.
Conduct market research to identify customer needs or problems for which compelling solutions are lacking and translate findings into product requirements or new opportunities.
Liaise, present to and partner with a broad range of authors, editorial board members and subject matter experts in order to create targeted and innovative information solutions for engineers.
Engage with customers to translate product requests into development-ready specifications and improve user experience overall.

Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree, degree in Engineering or science degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 to 7 years experience, 2 to 3 years relevant product management experience in electronic publishing or e-commerce
- Technical proficiency with Internet applications,
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
