What We're Looking For:
An essential part of every 2U program is fantastic content that we deliver to students. Behind this content product effort are a number of systems for creating, managing, and publishing this content. The Product Manager will serve as a senior product expert who will leverage his/her understanding of content production processes and systems, to find, deploy, refine and manage the systems used to produce our course content.
This individual will work closely with the content team to understand their needs, and will translate those needs into product requirements.
Key Job Responsibilities
Consolidate input from the business stakeholders in the content and tech teams, and work with these groups to provide products that result in superior content production outcomes, both qualitatively and quantitatively.
Advise the content team on process improvements that can be supported by products or product improvements.
Take ownership and manage all of the content production systems, and manage their ongoing development.
Create and communicate vision for content products product across the team and the organization.
Work alongside the engineering team to set development priorities, define and implement a product roadmap through initial launch and subsequent releases.
Other Attributes That Will Help You in This Role
Candidates who possess both higher education/higher education technology and product management backgrounds are highly encouraged to apply.
Experience with higher education technology products strongly preferred.
Understanding of the various systems in use in Higher Education (particular LMS).
Understanding of Content Management systems, including workflow, versioning and publishing.
Superior understanding of online media formats, strengths, limitations.
Ability to command respect from a highly skilled engineering team.
Strong sense of ownership.
Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
Bachelor?s degree required.
Ability to work in a dynamic and flexible environment.
