EdgeCast is seeking a Product Manager to lead the team that develops our customer and partner-facing Portals. EdgeCast is a leading supplier of Content Delivery, Application Acceleration, Streaming and other cloud-based services. We have thousands of customers that rely on our platform to make their web sites and applications faster, more reliable, and more secure. EdgeCast?s infrastructure delivers trillions of transactions each month and is used by some of the most recognized brands on the Internet. The scope and complexity of our technology is leading edge. Our Portals and API?s are the primary way in which our customers and partners interact with our services and therefore play a pivotal role in how we deliver outstanding service levels, and meet customer and partner expectations. This key role will ensure that our Portals and associated systems continue to deliver market-leading ease of use, visibility, and control to our customers.
Our ideal candidate is someone who is a leader, is up-to-date on current web application and UI approaches, and who has built and delivered end-user facing Web sites with an emphasis toward operations-oriented Portal functionality: service provisioning, configuration, reporting, user/account management, etc.
Oversee and manage the product development roadmap for the Portals team.
Working with other Product teams, ensure that the Portal reflects the latest functionality being developed in our edge delivery platforms and backoffice systems. Coordinate the Portals roadmap with individual service roadmaps and strategic company-wide initiatives.
Working with the Development team, help identify, define, and execute key architectural changes to ensure that our Portal and APIs stay current with developing technologies and techniques. Review and approve developed features/functionality for release approval.
Working with UI design team, develop standards for user experience, data visualization, workflow/navigation and other elements of the customer experience.
Working with Project Management, maintain and track timelines, milestones, interdependencies and resource allocation to ensure timely and effective execution of the roadmap. Agile oriented methodology.
Manage the process of collecting, assessing, tracking, and responding to requests from internal and external customers for new functionality, and information about existing functionality.
Ensure that the Portals and related functionality provide a consistent experience across a diverse set of services and platforms.
Ensure that our API?s are kept up-to-date and that all key operations are accessible via programmatic interfaces. Keep API?s current with the latest REST-based methodologies and development techniques. Help to build and expose a developer-centric model around our core functionality.
Create requirements and design documentation, wireframes and process flows, and other materials sufficient to guide efficient and effective implementation of new functionality.
Ensure that Portal functionality is clearly described and communicated to employees, customers, and partners though proactive notices, documentation updates, and keeping sales enablement materials updated.
Prior development and/or Product Management experience building and delivering web applications is a must. A technical degree is highly preferred. This position is not a coding position, but strong working knowledge of the capabilities and best practices of applications using the following technologies are desired (the more the better):
Microsoft .NET framework
Bootstrap, angular.js, or similar frameworks
Reporting, Analytics, and Big Data tools and frameworks.
Web Analytics tools (Google Analytics, Omniture, etc)
Mobile Web and Applications (iOS/Android)
