Are you an experienced engineer/product manager who has published a few apps? Do you follow the topics and trends in game development? Would you jump at the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of a whole community of developers? If so, then our Product Manager: Developer Experience role might be right for you.The Product Manager will be responsible for the full lifecycle of the developer experience of publishing on our platform. You will act as the developer?s advocate, caring passionately about providing a best-in-class developer experience, overseeing the full developer experience. From sign-up to developing an app with our SDKs, publishing, marketing and user acquisition, user base growth, analysis and iteration, scaling, monetization, and collecting revenue...
You will work closely with Developer Services, our Engineering teams, and game development teams to recommend features for the Platform and SDKs, and improvements to the Developer Portal. You should be comfortable in communicating roadmaps, and enthusiastic about evangelizing our technology to internal teams and external development partners.
Responsibilities:
Own the Developer Experience of publishing on the Mobage West platform. This includes:
Representing developers in design and engineering decisions for all products and services.
Gathering and documenting both 1st Party and 3rd Party developer needs through the full life cycle of working with our platform
Providing ideas, specs and solutions and turning them into a roadmap that will delight our developers, and attract new developers to our platform
Integrating 1P/3P game dates and requirements into the roadmap
Effectively communicating features to implementation teams, upholding quality standards
Prioritizing requirements effectively in an environment where there are rapid changes and many asks.
Managing cross functional dependencies ensuring that partners understand timelines, requirements, and product offerings
Requirements:
5-10 years experience working as an engineer, must have published apps
1+ years in product management experience. Experience with social platforms is a huge plus
Solid understanding and experience in project management best practices
B.S. in Computer Science strongly preferred
Excellent leadership skills along with a customer service personality
Ability to create action via influence, and the ability to develop strong working relationships inside and outside ngmoco
Expertise explaining technical concepts to not only engineers but also executives, and game producers
Proven success in cross group collaboration, defining ambiguous problems and creating solutions
Fluency English and Japanese is a plus
