Product Manager, Digital PCR RainDance Technologies
Job Description
The Global Product Manager's is responsible for both product planning and product marketing of the RainDrop Digital PCR System. This includes managing the product throughout the product lifecycle, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with R&D, to deliver winning products. The Product Manager's job is also to engage Key Opinion Leaders and drive Digital PCR sales globally. He/she will use their knowledge of the business and external context to commit to and deliver profitable initiatives that build sales. It also includes working with sales, marketing communications and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The Product Manager is expected to:
Play a key role in implementing a successful First Access Program
Actively engage Key Opinion Leaders in all sales regions
Define product strategies and roadmaps
Deliver customer and product requirements with prioritized features and corresponding justification
Be an expert with respect to the competition.
Develop the core positioning and messaging for the products
Set pricing to meet revenue and profitability goals
Develop and deliver to business plan for products
Develop sales tools and collateral
Work with Market Communications Manager on promotional and launch campaigns
Brief and train the sales force at quarterly sales meetings
Build up reference sites
Drive business expansion in collaboration with Support, Sales and Marketing
Skills/Requirements
Required Experience & Knowlede:
MS degree / PhD in life sciences or equivalent
Minimum of 7 years? experience as a product manager or related experience in the Life Science market
Demonstrated success defining and launching genomics/life science products
Ability to work within cross functional development teams
Business case development and basic financial analysis skills
Strong teamwork skills, able to align across teams and organizations and foster collaboration
Solid organization skills
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
