We are currently seeking Product Manager to manage existing products & services as well as creating and integrating new products and product changes throughout Yorktel. In this role, the Product Manager conducts margin analysis, industry/market research, and in-life performance measurement to determine product demand, positioning, viability, and profitability. The Product Manager will create formal business cases and product descriptions and work as a facilitator between the various internal organizations to ensure product policy and processes are negotiated, documented, and executed accurately. The Product Manager leads regularly scheduled meetings centered on system and operational requirements for product changes and new product development. The Product Manager develops pricing, pricing changes and manages tariff updates in partnership with Legal & Regulatory. Pre-empts potential problems and provides effective solutions in reaction to the application of concepts, techniques, knowledge, or processes developed to support the new product or product change.
This position reports directly to the CTO. The CTO will provide direction and support to the Product Manager in regard to the following areas; development and improvement, career development and client escalation issues. This position will also work closely various departments to identify, develop and deploy service offerings and lead strategic engagements with major customers from pre-sales to delivery and help establish guidelines and expectations of products and services.
The Product Manager role requires deep and broad technical knowledge and skills in the Video Conferencing industry. An expert in endpoint and infrastructure hardware and software from Cisco/Tandberg, Polycom, LifeSize and Vidyo, the Product Manager must have the ability to optimized solutions for a wide range of customer requirements. Experience in designing solutions for a wide range of enterprise customers and the ability to convey a high level of competence to prospective clients is a must.
The Product Manager will represent customer requirements to Yorktel and will play a major role in directing how Yorktel products and services are customized and deployed in based on the client solution. This position will make recommendations and be actively involved in the design and development of Yorktel products and services.
Internal and External Relationship Responsibilities:
This position regularly works in a team of individuals with varying degrees of expertise and influences internal and external customers to achieve a mutually desirable outcome. This position will trouble shoot issues, make recommendations to internal parties and customers in regard to concerns or issues, and ensure resolution of any problems working closely in conjunction with assigned clients. This position must regularly communicate answers to complex questions and respond to detailed inquiries about technical issues and how to resolve these issues. This position handles and is expected to protect all internal and external confidential information and must utilize discretion and judgment based on company policies and procedures. Responsible for interaction with all Operations and Corporate Services departments including, Purchasing, Accounting, Engineering, Production and Logistics to ensure the successful execution of all projects. The Product Manager has to build and maintain the close relationship with vendors, partners, and customers.
Experience and/or strong working knowledge of multiple videoconference platforms.
Provide technical support to multiple teams in a comprehensive, thorough, detailed and time sensitive manner.
Intensive interface with clients and job sites to document customer requirements and job site conditions.
Provide and document customer design based on the client requirements and job site conditions.
Work directly with clients, architects, consultants and staff throughout the design development and delivery process with the support of the Supervisor.
Develop Statement of Work for each job based on system design and customer requirements.
Develop accurate job cost estimates for each job.
Provide technical response to the customer RFP/RFQ/RFI.
Be capable of working effectively and efficiently with support from other members of the engineering team.
Maintain complete and accurate project documentation and records.
Communicate effectively with internal staff, client representatives, cooperative trades and subcontractors.
Effectively coordinate and manage multiple system design projects.
Be responsible for successfully completing assignments on time and within budget.
Develop and conform to company technical standards and practices.
Key Technical Responsibilities:
This position is responsible to manage in-life product performance: sales, margin, and churn, conducting extensive numerical analysis using company data, but not limited to audiovisual system diagrams and schematic drawings; architectural diagrams, drawings and sketches; Design/Build and Bid/Build specifications; and operational capabilities narratives, etc. Must have strong technical knowledge of Polycom Systems, Tandberg/Cisco Systems, Creston, and other audio and video technologies. Must be capable of properly configuring DSP devices including Clear One, Vortex, Biamp. Must also be able to read and correctly interpret and produce multiple formats of technical specifications; schematic drawings and architectural diagrams.
Identify and present innovative and creative product solutions.
Project management of all product integration/launches/changes throughout implementation.
Identify the business and operational requirements based upon the business requirements & objectives of each product.
Display a high level of critical thinking in cross-functional process analysis and problem resolution for new and existing products.
Coordinate and build strong working relations with various internal organizations including; IT, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Product Development, & Operations.
Lead the development, approval, training, and communication of new products/product changes and their associated customer, operational, system, & process impacts to the various internal organizations.
Develop & conduct specialized training on new products launched and raise awareness & application of relevant subject matter.
Monitor internal processes for efficiency and validity pre & post product launch/changes.

Job Requirements :
Bachelors degree in business, marketing, engineering, science;
Two to five years marketing/product development and or telecommunications experience preferred;
Two to five years of spreadsheet-based numerical analysis;
Two to five years computer experience (internet, windows, database, etc.)
Experience in product development, strategic planning, and implementation preferred
Skills and Additional qualifications:

Valid U.S. driver?s license is a requirement and must have a positive driver?s abstract.
Current valid U.S. Passport is desirable.
Must be willing to complete background checks and drug tests as required by current or future contracts
