What you?ll do
As a Product Manager ? Enterprise OEM, you will be responsible for applying product development and product management principles, practices and procedures within the organization for the assigned set of products. Must be comfortable operating in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Must have the ability to lead collaborative groups while managing multiple tasks. Requires constant communication with internal and external development support, sales and marketing.
How you?ll do it
Provide leadership and Technical expertise for assigned products
Plan, schedule and execution of New product development projects from concept phase through market launch
Lead and work with collaborative internal and external teams to meet product objectives
Maintain project schedules and report status on a periodic basis
Coordinate with contract manufacturing partners and other partners to assure the delivery of all projects within established timelines
Determine product specifications and features and validate against the market
Negotiate contracts, with management approval, with design consultants, design firms, manufacturers, and other suppliers.
What you?ll need
Four-year college degree in related field
Strong technical understanding of computer hardware and components
5-7 years similar or related work experience within computer or consumer electronics industry
Strong product and project management experience
Ability to learn quickly in order to work efficiently and meet established timelines
Experience negotiating product specifications and costs
Strong desire to be creativity and innovative
Excellent problem solving skills
What you?ve done
Prepare budgets and break-even analyses for all new development type projects.
Ensure that Sales Solutions Architects are trained on any products that may require sales support and that all needed support tools are in place and effective.
Understand the channels in which Belkin sells its products through ( distribution, VARs, dealers, etc.); know where our products sell through and what our top accounts are for assigned product line as well as sell-through information.
Provide Marketing Department with sufficient information to develop product, documentation, bulletins, and training material.
Perform ongoing market research through direct customer contact, blogs, sales evaluations, monitoring competitors and industry trends, and vendor contact. Update competitor file continuously.
