Product Manager for Marketing Search Applications Everyday Health

The product manager for marketing search applications fills two vital roles: delivering tens of millions of unique visitors each year by driving traffic to our external search applications, and delivering high customer satisfaction by providing the high-quality search results that drive our internal applications.
This is a very hands-on position. The successful candidate must have prior commercial experience in technical product management, efficient marketing traffic generation, and search applications.
Responsibilities:
Hands-on technical product manager for flagship consumer health search applications.
Work with upper management to guide product vision and strategy.
Own the product requirements and roadmaps for multiple search applications across a network of 25 sites.
Own a multi-million-dollar marketing budget to drive tens of millions of unique visitors to our sites through efficient use of paid media.
Design, execute, and analyze multivariate testing of candidate product versions.
Lead and perform search relevance analysis and relevance improvements.
Bridge the worlds of development, analysis, and marketing.
This role will likely grow to include other technologies and applications.
Qualifications:
3+ years hands-on product management experience in an agile development environment with real-world web products.
Ability to translate strategic vision into clear technical specifications.
Ability to drive rapid time-to-market while maintaining extremely high quality standards.
Excellent analytical skills (data analysis, pattern identification).
Hands-on scripting and rapid prototyping for large-scale ad-hoc data mining.
Prior experience with search applications, preferably Lucene.
Prior experience with commercial SEM/SEO analytics tools including Google AdWords, AdSense, and Analytics.
Preferred knowledge of health and medicine topics (diseases, drugs, medical procedures, fitness, diet, etc).
Preferred technical knowledge of search relevance, semantics, ontologies, knowledge extraction, and personalization techniques.
