POSITION: Infor Xtreme Product Manager
LOCATION: Alpharetta or alternate office location
Infor Xtreme Support delivers support services to Infor's global customer base. Infor Xtreme, our online support portal, is fundamental to our support delivery and offerings. The key role of this position is to define, direct, manage and deliver on the Infor Xtreme product roadmap, incorporating Infor technology innovation into Infor Xtreme.
The Infor Xtreme Product Manager, PM, is responsible for gathering, defining and prioritizing business requirements in order to create a support portal that best enables Infor's proactive and innovative support services that fit our customers' needs for today and the future. The process of capturing requirements includes contacts with support subject matter experts (SMEs), Infor maintenance business, customers, user groups, industry analysts and advisory councils. Based on these requirements the PM is responsible for creating an aligned roadmap that will drive the portal development process. The PM is to work in close cooperation managing cross-development coordination between Support, Product Development and IT Development to secure that the portal fulfills the roadmap and not only fits the market requirements, but also delivers support innovation to position Infor in the forefront of support services. The role includes driving our portal launch process, ensuring company readiness. The Product Manager is expected to possess a deep, hands-on understanding of Enterprise Application Support, specifically for new deployment models, like, Cloud and Cloud/On-premise Hybrid models.
Job duties include gathering market requirements, documenting requirements, supporting the realization of these requirements through the product development lifecycle, and maintaining close involvement during implementation with early customers to ensure successful adoption.
The PM role also includes portal portfolio management from the perspective of defining and describing the existing supported functionality as well as creating marketing materials. A PM will also be asked to give sales support as required.
The PM must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy; a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. The PM must enjoy finding innovative solutions for support services. The PM must be able to communicate with all areas of the company and work with engineering counterparts to define product release requirements. The PM will work with marketing communications to define the go-to-market strategy, helping them understand the portal positioning, key benefits, and target customer. The PM will also serve as the internal and external evangelist for Infor Xtreme, occasionally working with the sales channel and key customers.
â€¢ Capture and prioritize business requirements in order to create and align a roadmap
â€¢ Communicate roadmaps internally and externally to customers, user groups, analysts and advisory councils
â€¢ Work in cooperation with Infor IT and product development teams to support development of high level design specifications based on business requirements
â€¢ Participate in the development process
â€¢ Drive and secure the product launch process
â€¢ Create sales positioning materials and support sales
â€¢ Provide industry and product knowledge to the development organization and the field
â€¢ Support in creation of industry specific content such as process descriptions, reports and product configurations
Experience & Education:
â€¢ 3+ years of experience in product management, support, product development or other software related positions, preferable in the Support Operations area
â€¢ Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or Computer Science and/or equivalent experience.
