THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED The Product Manager of Intermodal is responsible for the development and management of the Intermodal product. Specifically, this position will have direct responsibility for the success and growth of Intermodal competitiveness, rail carrier development, and mode adoption. The Intermodal Product Manager functions as the expert for Rail growth strategies and identifying potential clients for prospecting. This role is the liaison between department managers within Operations, Sales, Customer Service and IT to insure all processes and systems are functioning at maximum efficiency to provide superior service and drive Intermodal shipment growth at maximum market potential. This role is expected to build strong internal and external relationships at all levels in order to be responsive to changing customer requirements. It is the responsibility of the Manager to maintain and develop industry relationships with strategic partners to be market competitive and reputable.
A Bachelor?s degree in Business or related field is required. Equivalent related work experience will be considered.
At least five years of relevant industry experience required. Previous Intermodal experience is required.
Knowledge of the transportation industry
Demonstrated time management and organizational skills
Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively lead a team with a positive approach
Effective employee development and coaching skills
Knowledge of call flow management with the ability to build and develop call analytics
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact and function as a liaison between various work groups in order to maximize departmental efficiency.
Strong analytical and process improvement skills
Strong computer skills with the ability to use MS Office programs effectively; additional experience with various call center technologies strongly preferred.
Ability to communicate effectively with customers as well employees at all levels of the organization in both verbal and written form.
Effective project management skills, and ability to multi-task.
