Product Manager, IPS Palo Alto Networks
Description:
As a product manager focused on the threat prevention services at Palo Alto Networks, you will help direct and productize one of the most innovative network security products available today. Help us extend our lead in integrated threat prevention by identifying and driving improvements, new technologies, and other enhancements to the product. In addition to your own knowledge and experience, you will rely on interaction with enterprise customers to understand requirements and needs, engineering to prioritize and develop the right features, and sales and marketing to bring those features successfully to market.
Responsibilities:
- Direction, productization, and full lifecycle management of threat prevention services
- Market and customer analysis, feature requirements development, business case, collateral, and positioning of all management interfaces and functions
- Ability to work effectively with all areas of the organization, from engineering to sales
- Customer engagement and relationship development for product evangelism, and requirement gathering
- Feature prioritization and tradeoff decision making
- Strong threat prevention knowledge and background in IPS, or related technologies
- Strong desire to take ownership of the full product life cycle
- Drive to design something new
- Minimum 3-5 years in product management, technical marketing, systems engineering, software engineering
- Ability to effectively manage software products through full lifecycle
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- BS/MS or equivalent experience required
