Product Manager Managing Editor
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED The product manager is responsible for driving the vision and direction of MEI products, managing the definition, creation and release to the marketplace of industry leading software solutions. This individual should be knowledgeable in the needs of software across domains, including web, desktop, and mobile.
Serve as an expert on market needs for our products. Engage customers, prospects and
partners to determine business requirements, technical considerations and strategic
Capture and document market needs and product requirements necessary to succeed in
the markets we serve -- use cases, personas, cross-functional deliverables.
Own the creation of product vision and strategy for MEI products, achieve executive
sponsorship for new initiatives, and communicate the plan to internal and external
Define the product roadmap and prioritize investments through collaboration with
customers, partners and key stakeholders in the organization.
Partner with MEI's Engineering, Design, Marketing and Technical Services leadership,
taking accountability for the realization of the vision through product delivery, company
enablement, and customer/partner adoption.
Work with the client-facing teams within MEI (sales, marketing, training, support etc)
to ensure these teams understand new product / features and can deliver on their
Ensure all aspects of product delivery are complete so that customer enablement and
adoption is seamless and timely.
Lead product workshops, company-wide strategy presentations, product boot camps and
other ad-hoc sessions as needed to gather input and promote product efforts.
Bachelors degree (advanced degree preferred) or equivalent experience.
3+ years of software product management experience, with demonstrated success
defining and building excellent web-based products.
Demonstrated experience in gathering and transforming business requirements into a
successful product strategy. Proven ability to set & deliver on product vision commitments.
Ability to travel to client or non-client locations (5 -- 10 %).
Experience with agile development methodologies such as Scrum.
On-demand, SaaS software product development for enterprise offerings.
Technical background and ability to engage with engineering on complex topics.
Experience developing solutions in collaboration with partners or third party solutions.
