As part of WhitePages' leadership team, the Product Manager, Local Business Search will report into the General Manager, Mobile Products and will be responsible for creating and growing a unique product portfolio consistent with WhitePages? overall product strategy and roadmap and focused on Local Business Search. The role includes defining and maintaining the requirements for specific products on the roadmap, prioritizing product milestones against resources, and ensuring each of the products in the portfolio is successfully realized.
Own all aspects of the business search product portfolio P&L, balancing the fulfillment of financial goals (revenue and profitability) with the delivery of an unparalleled user experience
Maintain a deep understanding of overall market dynamics, end user needs, and competitive product capabilities
Develop a product roadmap and product portfolio that aligns with our overall corporate product roadmap, strategy and financial goals, and is focused on local business search
Establish detailed product specifications, including use case definitions, technical requirements, costs & time to develop, and success metrics
Develop the cross-functional and interdepartmental relationships required to ensure the product roadmap is successfully realized
Be the champion of business requirements within the product development process. Coordinate cross functionally with input from users, design, product, data, business development/partners, engineering and IT to ensure requirements are delivered in a timely and efficient manner
Bachelor?s degree required (MBA and/or engineering degree from a top 10 school preferred)
5+ years of relevant experience in product planning or product management
Strong interest in online consumer facing products and services, with an emphasis on cross-platform (desktop, mobile, tablet, etc.) big data applications
Proven track record of realizing revenue-generating products, from inception to post-launch maintenance
Experience with definition and actionable response from qualitative and quantitative research, including end-user usability studies
3-5 years of previous management experience, including mentorship and career development of staff
Familiarity with ad-supported online publishing business models preferred
Previous experience working in agile development environment preferred
Previous experience working with extensive consumer data preferred
Must have a collaborative working style with a strong focus on disciplined execution and results
