We seek a highly motivated professional to be a Product Manager, Partner Integration. The Product Manager will work directly for the Senior Product Manager and will be a key player in liaising between Knewton?s strategic partners and our platform team, establishing a product roadmap, creating business cases for products and features, defining requirements, and managing new product/feature developments within an agile team. This person will also manage features and metrics on an ongoing basis.
This person will work closely with Knewton adaptive instruction, data science, design, and technology teams, and directly with strategic partners. The role requires consideration for long-term product quality and customer satisfaction, and calls for a highly detail oriented individual with entrepreneurial drive and extraordinary flexibility to meet the demands at a high-energy start-up.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with partner development teams to build products that marry Knewton?s technology with partner learning platforms
Understand the business issues and technical challenges and collaborate with teams to capture requirements for projects.
Work with your manager to prioritize projects among competing opportunities, balance customer needs with business priorities, and articulate rationale behind decisions.
Create revenue and cost models for product initiatives.
Identify internal and external customer needs, generate requirements documents, prioritize and manage projects.
Partner with internal clients such as academic, marketing, technology, and executive teams to meet their product needs.
Conduct external customer interviews for requirements gathering and customer insight
Manage product programs and features on an ongoing basis.
Monitor competition and evaluate our positioning in the context of the markets we serve.
Define, analyze, track and improve key product metrics.
Skills:
Relevant, timely understanding of the landscape for web-based, open source, scalable consumer products.
BS/BA or equivalent, MBA a plus.
2-5 years business operations or product management experience with web-based enterprise or consumer products.
Understanding of agile product development methods.
A passion for or appreciation of practical use of technology in education.
Ability to construct cost / benefit analysis.
Strong analytical capability and understanding of key financial and business metrics.
Gracious team player capable of navigating the organization with skill and charm.
