JOB SUMMARY
Working within the Community Solutions team, the Product Manager will help drive the success of the current recycling offering and develop new products and features designed to change consumer behavior around sustainability issues. The Product Manager will collaborate with stakeholders across departments from data management to sales and play a critical role in evaluating core products and shaping product decisions. A successful candidate will have a background in Product Management with experience managing projects and building and maintaining one or more consumer product or service lines. The candidate will have excellent communication and analytical skills with a strong team spirit. A background specifically in waste is a plus but not required. Lastly ? and importantly -- candidates must believe in our mission to realize a world without waste and support our core corporate values.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Evaluate, improve and grow existing core incentive-based recycling program offerings.
Develop product business models, define and measure product success,
Evaluate and prioritize new product opportunities in the recycling industry.
Help maintain and update product roadmaps, documentation, and product handbooks.
Understand market needs and opportunities, member and client pain points (on and offline) and translate them to product solutions; establish product requirements and features to meet market needs.
Work with design, marketing, sales, account management, and product managers from ideation to launch.
Monitor and report trends in the recycling, loyalty and behavior change sectors back to the company
QUALIFICATIONS
5+ year relevant product management experience.
Experience having managed and/or delivered excellent products, ideally consumer-facing.
Ability to work with product team in the development of products, features, APIs, integrations, and data exchange.
Ability to solve problems quickly, establish processes and frameworks, and think on your feet.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Key aptitude for translating simple inquiry into complex analyses that is translated back into simple and straightforward results. Comfortable presenting internally as needed.
Strong interpersonal skills: Approaches conflicts as opportunities; understands others quickly; can find common ground without compromising total position.
Able to communicate priorities internally and externally.
Project Management: Strong project management and time management skills.
Experienced at measuring situations, and using judgment to make thoughtful decisions.
Comfortable juggling multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Able to constantly adapt and thrive in a fast paced work environment.
Business and Problem Solving Skills: Strong problem solving and analytical skills with a keen eye towards execution that drives tangible results.
Demonstrated capability to synthesize data, understand business dynamics and think globally and strategically.
Able to maintain a consistently high level of objectivity.
Fast learner of business models, programs and product verticals.
?Can-Do attitude with willingness to develop foundational understandings and solutions.
4-yr Bachelors degree, Masters degree in a relevant field is a plus
