What you'll be doing:
The Product Manager will define the product strategy and the development roadmap. The Product Manager's key role is strategic, not tactical. The other organizations will support your strategic efforts; you won't be supporting their tactical tasks.
The Product Manager is responsible for conceiving, defining, and coordinating projects aimed at improving the product and growing its user base. This position will focus primarily on high leverage areas. You will work with senior management to define product features, prioritize product features, define branding and marketing strategies, maintain the product improvement backlog, and make sure that the Development team is working on the highest valued features.
You must be able to communicate with all areas of the company. You will work with a Development Lead counterpart to define product release requirements. You will work with marketing communications to define the go-to-market strategy, helping them understand the product positioning, key benefits, and target customer. You will also serve as the internal and external evangelist for your product offering, working with the sales channel and affiliates.
--You will be responsible for thinking through broad product strategy, managing the roadmap, and driving execution
-- Work with external third parties to assess partnerships and licensing opportunities
-- Run beta and pilot programs with early-stage features, demos and product mock ups
-- Be an expert with respect to the competition and the changing competitive landscape
-- Partner with engineers, architects, and executives on the creation of product vision, strategy, roadmap, and communications
-- Effectively collaborate with sales, channel and development teams to drive innovation and specify features, prioritize enhancements, and translate into requirements
-- Examine and understand customer problems and participate in architecture design
-- Work with senior management to define a brand's strategic choices and vision, product and commercial innovations, and marketing strategy across all media, while collaborating with multi-function teams and agency partners
-- Understand our users, their problems, their needs, and their questions. You are their representative.
-- Conceive, design, and launch new features and services
-- Lead cross-functional teams to launch new features, increase usage, and improve profitability
-- Serve as a hub of communication keeping all stakeholders aligned and informed
-- Manage timelines and schedules to coordinate all internal and external partners
-- Leverage data to isolate opportunities for the product
-- Drive a world-class team of developers and designers to deliver product that will directly increase sales and increase engagement of existing customers.
-- Work on core features as well as marketing channels like SEO, SEM, email and Facebook integrations
-- Prioritize a broad product pipeline to ensure that the development team is focused on the highest leverage projects at all times
-- Define, analyze, and report on the metrics that inform the success of products
-- Serve as an internal advocate for the site within the organization and beyond Product Manager
-- 5-7 years product development or product design experience in b2b SaaS space
-- Experience leading and influencing various cross-functional teams to create, prioritize, and deliver against the strategic vision and product roadmaps
-- SEO industry experience a must
-- BA/ BS required, ideally in computer science or business from a top university with good academic record
-- Highly collaborative
-- A fondness for simple, clean design. You should feel comfortable giving visual input and enjoy the creative aspects of ideation
