Product Manager (SaaS) SevOne
SevOne is a steadily growing organization, and we grow organically based on increased revenue - 80% growth, year on year. We are extremely passionate about our product and the quiet revolution we have been able to achieve in a relatively short period of time.
We have a very friendly working environment and a real sense of being in this together - our young and brilliant development team are consistently introducing amazing features, our support organisation is loved by our customers for their knowledge and responsiveness, our sales people are driven yet ethical and our management team has the years of experience and the vision to take us to the top of our industry.
This means our Product Managers must also be the best - we must be the best at designing and shepherding our software through to successful release. SevOne has built a terrific, uniquely scalable platform, which we are extending across the full spectrum of infrastructure performance management; from virtualized datacenters through to mobile communications. If an IT resource generates statistics, we want to know about them, consume them, analyse them and be in a position to provide the most valuable KPIs to our customers.
Because our company is still growing, our Product Managers are also called upon to help with technical writing, occasional strategic customer meetings and even become involved technical marketing activities - we do what needs to be done to win. Ideal candidates will understand this mindset and will thrive in this kind of environment.
SevOne HQ is based in Wilmington, Delaware.
The expectation is that it will be necessary for all Product Managers to work from one of the SevOne offices for at least three days a week to be successful - office locations include Wilmington DE, Philadelphia or Boston.
IT Performance Management is an extremely competitive marketplace, so we need our Product Managers to be deeply technical. In order to work productively, they need to be able to earn the respect of our talented and demanding account managers, sales engineers and development teams. Product Managers in SevOne must champion customer and market demands into Development and QA teams - and drive new versions of our software to market.
Product Managers must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and are required to perform live demonstrations of SevOne product features and capabilities via WebEx or on-site with potential customers. Working with customers and SevOne development, product managers must have the technical understanding necessary to gather software enhancement requirements, prioritize market demands and keep up with industry trends.
The successful candidate will likely have significant experience as a successful professional services consultant, technical presales engineer or software developer in the Network Management space.
Product Managers will have the following responsibilities:
1. Gain and maintain industry-leading understanding of designated IT management concerns and language in their area of speciality.
2. Design and maintain sample reports, device certifications and management best practices for their designated area.
3. Strong project management and communications skills to ensure all members of team are doing what is needed to get new versions of our software delivered.
Based on our success using other more conventional delivery models, SevOne is moving towards providing our industry-leading performance management platform as service. Experience with SaaS-based product rollouts is important for this role.
Candidates must have a BS or MS in computer science or at least 8 years of graduate-level work experience.
Management software, networking and general computing industry certifications are also valued.
Experience delivering SME products using a SaaS approach is considered very important.
