Role Description
ServiceSource is looking for a passionate and creative product manager to own and advance our industry-leading SaaS applications for Service Revenue Performance Management. You will work closely with creative and prolific engineers to build cloud-native applications that automate the planning, execution and optimization process for over 1200 ServiceSource data analysts and sales specialists. ServiceSource is the undisputed industry leader; having over one-hundred Fortune 1000 customers and over 15,000 Partners using our systems around the globe today.
Responsibilities
Own and drive the end-to-end product lifecycle of our next-generation ServiceSource application solutions including: definition of market and product requirements, release planning, functional requirements and specifications through sales & partner integration
Form the vision for winning application solutions, collaborating with other Product Managers, Senior Management, Development, Professional Services, and Marketing
Deeply understand and validate the needs of current and targeted customers through quantitative & qualitative customer research.
Create and execute the short and long-term roadmap to achieve the vision for the application area
Be the subject matter expert for all Service Renewal Analytical Reporting application needs; acting as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding of our products and features; internally and externally
Enable and lead the cross-functional applications development team to gain a clear understanding of the customer problems we are trying to solve
Drive a quality product planning process from product planning, use case definition, development and release cycles with engineering and QE
Prioritize product enhancements and customer requests by making smart, decisive tradeoffs using data-driven analysis and sound judgment
Create use cases, user stories, and detailed product requirement documents that clearly articulate desired product functionality
Collaborate with the Development, User Experience, and QA teams to create exceptional solutions
Qualifications
5+ years of related product management experience
Product management experience for SaaS BI or analytics company is highly desired
Experience creating winning commercial business applications targeted at enterprise users; but with consumer-services-like interfaces. Again, deep experience with business analytics is needed
Employment history with one or more of the following is highly desired: SPSS, Hyperion, Cognos, Microstrategy, BusinessObjects, Google, Yahoo, or SaaS business intelligence company
Experience integrating enterprise and/or web search a plus
Entrepreneurial drive and demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in a fast-paced start-up environment.
Sound understanding of underlying management for sales performance and related transactional business processes for order management, procurement and finance
Superior analytical skills, sound business judgment, the courage to make difficult decisions and defend these decisions with sound logic
Experience participating in an agile development and rapid prototyping process.
Passionate about understanding and solving customer needs
Proven track record of shipping amazing product solutions that deliver clear ROI to customers
Creative problem solver who inspires innovation across the entire team
Proven ability to work effectively under tight time pressure
Strong leadership, communication, and influence skills
Ability to multi-task and deliver under pressure in a high-visibility role
Hands on HTML, Javascript and demand-driven analytics experience a plus
BS required. MBA and/or technical Master?s degree preferred
