Profile: As a Product Manager, you will have primary responsibility for product delivery to meet company objectives. The role requires acting as a bridge between SlideShare's management and its engineering team. You'll handle the entire chain from product ideation, through exploration and design, to launch and iteration i.e. conceptualize new products/features, do first-cut interaction design, create low level mockups, work with the dev team for coding, design, QA and finally product launch. You don't have to write code, but you need to be technical enough to understand pseudocode, interpret algorithms, run simple DB queries to generate reports, make the odd commits to SVN etc. You should have good understanding of social media marketing, SEO, search engine algorithms, keyword tracking, knowledge of web development & design (HTML/CSS/AJAX) and how it affects SEO. Prior experience in tracking traffic trends & metrics using Google Analytics, Quantcast, Comscore, and exposure to tools like Kissmetrics, usability testing is a plus.Desired Background: Minimum 4-5 years experience in product management, program management or product delivery roles in a strong technology / engineering environment. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science is a must have. Having a MBA is an advantage. We are looking for high energy, always on individuals who thrive in working alongside and getting work done from a team of developers, designers, testers, content, customer support professionals. Ability to handle ambiguity, ability to prioritize, multi-tasking, ruthless focus on implementation and flawless execution are intrinsic requirements for this position.
