Composite pioneered the data virtualization category, one of the hottest enterprise IT markets today. Composite, as the data virtualization gold standard, continues to grow rapidly to meet this accelerating demand. Composite is adding an ?A player? Product Manager to the engineering team.
This role calls for an individual who can demonstrate sound product management skills (analytical, business judgment, communication, product discipline) in addition to being technically smart to gain credibility with customers and stakeholders, most of whom are technical professionals.
The product manager will work closely with the Composite Engineering, Marketing, and Field teams to ensure successful execution of product strategy, partnering with the development team to ensure successful release delivery, producing market intelligence reports to project sponsors and developing competitive analysis and win/loss reports.
Responsibilities
Manage the features in product line life cycle from strategic planning through tactical project delivery to the field and customers
Establish the product mission, goals and supporting business metrics and indicators for a best in enterprise data virtualization product
Specify market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by on-going, intimate knowledge of existing customers and non-customers (prospects and competitors)
Develop and implement a go-to-market plan, working with all departments and channels
Work with cross-functional teams in delivering product releases
Monitoring the external business environment and competitor activities for early detection of emerging trends, challenges and opportunity by vertical, technology, and business model
Developing analysis and materials as necessary to support and communicate key findings
Conducting primary and secondary research on competitive products
Serve as the competitive analysis subject matter expert to product and field teams
Required Skills
2 ? 4 years experience as a product manager
Technical degree or equivalent experience. Masters in Engineering or MBA preferred
Ability to build and maintain an active network of internal and external intelligence sources
Superior ability to interpret qualitative and quantitative information and weave together disparate data to develop relevant insights and determine business implications and read/interpret financial statements
Poses both a technical background that enables you to easily conduct primary research and a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges
Exceptional customer experience judgment and be incredibly analytical and creative
Impeccable project management and collaborative skills
