POSITION SUMMARY
The technical product manager role is high-visibility, focused on the development of core security technologies. This role is responsible for market assessment, product planning, and execution throughout the product-development lifecycle, including: gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering, sales, marketing and support to bring new products to market. Reports to Director of Product Management.
Duties & Responsibilities
Assess and size market for new products
Define the product strategy and roadmap
Deliver requirements with prioritized features and corresponding justification
Work cross-functionally throughout the organization to execute
Run beta and pilot programs with early-stage products all the way through launch
Be an expert with respect to market trends and competition
Provide subject matter leadership within the company
Skills & Experience
B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering or technical discipline HIGHLY preferred.
A strong technical acumen with prior development experience will open up leadership opportunities and provide a foundation for success.
Knowledge of application security(cloud or appliance), PCI compliance, content delivery, and/or server applications a PLUS
Participation in the development and launch of high-traffic applications highly preferred
Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
Willing to fully own your product in an entrepreneurial manner
Excellent teamwork skills
Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
Analytical and detail oriented, with the ability to successfully manage projects requiring complex interactions
Willing to roll up your sleeves and pitch in where needed, wearing many hats
