Over 2,000 new users join Spiceworks for free each day. How do we keep IT free? Over 3,000 tech brands (including Microsoft, Dell, HP and Rackspace) advertise in Spiceworks to reach these IT pros. Since SMB IT pros have historically been a tough market to reach, vendors love the unique ways Spiceworks helps them reach this elusive market? so much so that Forbes touted us ?the future of media?!
Your day-to-day (as a Product Manager ? Social Marketing Solutions, you?ll):
Manage your activities around hitting your quarterly product line revenue targets by tracking key metrics for revenue and renewal rates
Work closely with sales and sales enablement to ensure that the positioning and messaging for social products is being effectively delivered to customers and prospects
Evaluate and adjust the pricing, packaging, and positioning of your products as needed to drive business results
Develop new social products that fuel the continuous stream of new capabilities being added to Spiceworks
Test these products with potential customers and once refined rollout the new products to the sales team
Work with a team of amazing marketers to channel their efforts and execute strategies to grow social products
Work with your development teammates to evolve the social product line and deliver greater value to your customers
Qualifications: What does it take to do this job?
5-10 years of product management and/or product marketing experience in growing businesses with demanding performance targets
A demonstrated understanding of social media marketing tactics and how they apply to B2B vendors
Ability to effectively communicate the value prop of social media marketing products to vendors
Experience working closely with an enterprise sales team and understanding what it takes to be successful in that environment
An understanding of IT pros, and how they like to work, communicate, learn, and have fun is a must
Strong verbal and written skills are a must
Adaptability is key (e.g. we have a conference room called Zig-Zag ? that?s just how we roll!)
Grace under fire (you can make critical decisions and problem solve amid chaos)
The Product Manager ? Social Marketing Solutions will report to the VP of Marketing
