Product Manager, Supply Chain Visibility GT Nexus
Position Summary
We?re looking for an individual to take on a leading role in the product management activities for our Supply Chain Visibility product line. This is a key position within the R&D team, helping to drive the development of one of our most successful product lines. Qualified candidates will possess a blend of business and technical skills, while being able help to drive the strategic growth of a major product line.
The GT Nexus Supply Chain Visibility solution makes it possible to gain strategic insight into a company?s inventory as it flows through their supply chain. The solution leverages leading edge technology and delivers key information to brand managers, supply chain analysts, logisticians, and other strategic professionals. Customers of this solution rank among the largest in the world, and include, Caterpillar, International Paper, BAT, and DB Schenker. All of our software applications are delivered in a multi-tenant cloud-based platform.
The Product Manager is a solution expert, whose main responsibility is to understand market and customer requirements and translate them into product specifications that the engineering team develops. Similarly, the Product Manager ?packages? existing and future product functionality for both sales/marketing and customer/implementation purposes.
Responsibilities:
Provide assistance in managing the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities
Specifying market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by on-going visits to customers prospects, and industry analysts.
Developing and implementing a company-wide go-to-market plan, working with all departments to execute.
Analyzing potential partner relationships for the product.
Develop detailed Market Requirements Document that specifies solution requirements and acts as the contract with engineering
Develop and communicate release plans; manage releases across engineering, professional services, marketing/sales
Support engineering and QA organizations in executing required functionality
Work with sales on providing product demonstrations and other product-oriented outbound sales support
Maintain competitive intelligence about key competitors
Gather product-related field and customer feedback and ensure user adoption and satisfaction
Job Requirements
5+ Years working as a product manager for a Supply Chain software company
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, and ability to work effectively with engineering and professional services organizations
Self-motivated, self-directed, effective team-worker
This position requires some travel
Strong technical understanding and keen interest in software applications
Desire and confidence to engage with customers, analyze their needs, and develop product requirements.
5+ years of software product management experience.
Bachelor degree in Business, or Computer Science or Engineering
