Product Manager - Vertical Solutions TokBox, Inc.
When the Facebook platform was launched, did you dissect the killer apps built on top of it? When someone describes a vertical use case do you see the opportunities to capture large markets? When we say "bowling pin strategy"- have you actually read the book? Do you like designing and building solutions that live on the leading edge of technology?
TokBox is looking for an experienced candidate to drive vertical solutions for the OpenTok platform, following up TokBox's successful introduction of the OpenTok for Customer Service solution. The successful candidate will identify prospective solutions by clustering use cases, validate solution opportunities through direct customer contact, and drive the execution of first-class solutions for verticals as wide-ranging as customer service, healthcare, consulting and media & entertainment. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of identifying, planning and product managing solutions in platform companies.
We are looking for a hands-on product manager who thrives on customer contact while inspiring and guiding the TokBox team. Position title will be commensurate with candidate?s experience and qualifications.
Strategize, ideate and drive the execution of the OpenTok vertical solutions SaaS roadmap
Work with the marketing team to identify and research monetizable use cases for application-integrated face-to-face video, and prioritize which industry verticals to pursue
Working cross-functionally, gather requirements from existing and prospective customers to inform and support the specification of vertical solutions
Develop comprehensive requirements and specifications for vertical solutions
Work with the engineering team to drive development and ongoing improvement of vertical solutions
Collaborate with the design team to scope and deliver clear and modern UI, and to recommend UX best practices
Work with OpenTok platform product management to drive API enhancements needed by vertical solutions, and to deliver supporting documentation, tutorials, and sample code
Champion an agile development process with the engineering and design teams
Deliver metrics-driven goals and updates to the management team
Bachelors or Masters degree or industry equivalent
3+ years in platform solution product management; 5+ years total product management experience, at least some of which is in a SaaS or PaaS environment
Experience building products for customer service, healthcare, financial services, or consulting verticals
Customer-centric focus and demonstrable ability to work with technical and non-technical customers
Proven track record of applying data-driven analytical skills to generate team momentum behind a product and engineering road map
Experience and ability to thrive and wear multiple hats in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
Experience and comfort working intimately with an agile engineering process
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A demonstrated strong passion for solving big problems
Experience specifying and bringing SaaS offerings to market for any of the customer service, healthcare, financial services and consulting verticals
Demonstrated ability to work with design teams and help drive the design process
Work experience in or building product for the customer service industry
Technical experience with implementing full stack solutions
