Product Manager: Web and Mobile Apps Xora

Job Description

Xora is looking for a world class product leader to define and bring to market its next generation of mobile and web applications. This high-profile role within the company is a unique opportunity for talented product leaders to redefine the state of the art, shake up the competitive landscape, and ultimately reshape the industry for B2B web and mobile applications.

Drawing from prior experience developing the total user experience for mobile and web products, you will be tasked with building Xoras next generation of highly interactive web and mobile applications, including all aspects of the user interaction design, usability assessment and visual design. You will work very closely with a small, dedicated team of engineers through an iterative development process. You will be leveraging Xoras leading market position as a provider of mobile resource management solutions, and the most capable and widely deployed MRM platform in the industry.
Responsibilities:

Defining the product strategy and roadmap
Working with external third parties to assess partnerships and licensing opportunities
Managing 3rd party suppliers for the delivery of product components or feature development
Studying product usage patterns with end users and continuously refine the user experience
Running beta and pilot programs with early-stage products
Working with marketing to ensure Xoras competitive differentiation through product pricing, messaging and positioning
Being an expert with respect to the competition
Acting as a product leader within the company

Qualifications and Skills Required:

At least 4 years of experience as a product manager for mobile and web applications, preferably in B2B software
Experience leading a mobile application from conception through launch on a smartphone or tablet platform (iPhone/iPad, Android, Blackberry or Win Phone 7)
Experience developing and/or managing a web application or software-as-a-service product
Familiarity with JavaScript, CSS, HTML5, web UI/JavaScript frameworks and native mobile OS technology
Mapping, location-based services, MWM/MRM, telematics or geospatial application experience is a plus
Demonstrated ability to develop applications with a compelling, intuitive user experience
Understanding the app store ecosystem and mobile application industry dynamics
Bachelors degree in Engineering or Computer Science, MBA preferred
Flexible and aggressive intellect with superb conceptual thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Desire and ability to lead, to take a stand, or advocate a feature, and present facts and data to back up your position
Ability and desire to engage and interact with multidisciplinary teams with a high degree of effectiveness
Ability to manage and handle conflicting customer priorities
Exceptional sense of commitment
Excellent communications ability, verbal and written, at all levels
