The Web Application Firewall Product Manager will help lead Alert Logic to achieve its strategic goals associated with cloud security market leadership. S/he will lead and mentor the company to define strategies and tactics for expanding the Alert Logic security footprint within Web Application infrastructures. The Product Manager will be responsible for identifying market, partner and customer needs, defining product features and functions, and interacting with Development, Marketing, Operations and Executive leadership to deliver successful revenue and profitability growth.
The Product Manager plays a critical role in shaping the strategy and operations of product offerings introduced to the market. S/he will ultimately be responsible for defining, building and overseeing all product capabilities to address identified market needs. This is both a highly strategic role and a tactical role requiring the ability to accomplish goals through influence and leadership.
Product Leadership: Partner effectively with Development and Operations teams to:
Become a trusted thought partner with Development and Operations teams to define product and service offerings that excite the market.
Provide a mature perspective, offering sound judgment and counsel to guide the offering through a period of explosive growth.
Plan and direct all aspects of the product prioritization, definition and roadmap.
Work with Development and Operations teams to ensure the successful implementation of technology and process around the product offerings.
Work with Sales and Marketing to create pricing that maximizes overall revenue and growth.
Market Leadership: Partner with Marketing and sales teams to:
Be seen as an integral business leader, pushing both strategic and operational aspects of the business and ensuring monthly, quarterly and yearly targets are met.
Work with Product and Corporate marketing to evangelize the WSM Product with customers, partners and internal stakeholders to ensure financial and operational excellence.
Be an expert articulating the market around competitive offerings, cloud and SaaS technologies, and security technologies, particularly in the Web Application environment.
We seek a Product Manager with a strong history of successful product launches and deep knowledge of software security and web application frameworks.
Business and Domain Expertise:
The successful candidate must have strong product management experience managing and launching technology-driven products in competitive markets.
Deep knowledge of Software Security products is a requirement with special emphasis on the tools and techniques to attack and defend Web Application frameworks.
S/he will have 5+ years? success with leading product / service definition and launch.
S/he has success at internal communication to gain buy-in on product strategy and technology implementation and deployment.
S/he has a proven success record of close teaming with other functions including development, marketing and operations.
S/he has successfully shown an ability to understand partner and customer needs to define and launch a successful product offering.
S/he is not a 9-to-5er. S/he is willing to work as needed to build a world-class company. S/he is cool under pressure.
S/he will embrace our customer-focused, action-oriented, results-driven culture.
An undergraduate degree in CS or CE is highly preferred; an MBA or similar advanced degree is a plus.
