What you?ll do
As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for product development and management of new product introductions for WeMo from ideation to production. You will also be responsible for ongoing evaluation of products to be added, enhanced, refined, developed or eliminated. As a Product Manager you will be responsible for driving the definition, development, cost, and quality for your products. You will lead multiple small, mid and large programs from concept through First Customer Ship, following Belkin?s Product Development processes. The job involves frequent interaction with internal cross-functional team members, division executive staff members, partners and vendors, sales account teams and occasionally, end customers.
How you?ll do it
Partner with Product Marketing team to translate Insights, sales data, regional needs into requirements.
Responsible for the creation of a PRD (product requirement document)
Determine product specifications and features of assigned products.
Work with cross functional teams to transition products from concept to product specifications to commercialization, insuring that all details are in compliance with Belkin standards.
Coordinate development projects and vendors by aligning with Program Management, Purchasing and Design to determine product development schedules and responsibilities and ensure they are met.
Ability to multi-task and manage multiple concurrent programs (usually at different stages of the life cycle)
Manage programs involving cross-functional disciplines of Design, Engineering, Operations, Marketing and Finance in a matrix management organization.
What you?ll need
Minimum 4 years experience of product development including managing software and firmware, preferably in consumer electronics industry.
Proven, excellent communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Project
Motivated self-starter with high attention to detail
Previous experience working in an international organization is a plus
Curious, driven and respectful
Bachelor Degree with an engineering concentration or equivalent experience preferred
What you?ve done
Create risk management list and contingency plans. Decide upon and execute contingency plans
Report program status to multi-tiered audiences including peers, BU directors and executive staff.
Programs involving a mix of in-bound OEM/ODM, remote development and support teams, internal development and support teams.
Drive continuous improvement to increase industry-leading best practices in product development
Provide Marketing with information to develop packaging, documentation, bulletins, and training material.
