As a Product Manager you will lead the charge with developing new consumer and customer online user experiences and features or programs and tools for our website and find creative ways to optimize market trends and growth opportunities that align with our growth strategy. This includes full accountability for all product life-cycle activities related to the development and launch of new website products or services at DealerRater. Additionally, you'll be the expert on buyer behavior and buying criteria for your products; and be the expert on the competition and how we should be positioned against them.
This job requires someone who is an innovator, visionary and knows how to create products that drive demand in the marketplace. This is an opportunity for someone who has an entrepreneurial passion and wants to join a profitable growing company and unleash their creative talents.
What You'll Do:
--Identify market opportunities.
--Manage all products and services throughout their product life-cycle.
--Partner with senior management and development team to ensure clear communication on website features and changes to support products and services.
--Research, troubleshoot and provide solutions to business problems related to products and services at all stages in the product life-cycle including quality assurance testing and website prioritization of new features and enhancements.
--Maintain a high level of competitive market intelligence acting as the subject matter expert to sales and our internal team for competitive information as well as on products and services in your defined area.
What You Need:
--BA degree along with three years of related product management experience.
--Candidates who are applying for the Consumer Product Management job must have related B2C experience and candidates who are applying for the Dealer Product Management position should have related B2B and "automotive industry" experience. Any experience working for an internet, social media company is highly desirable.
--Solid business judgment and someone who always considers the balance of making the right decisions to ensure successful implementation of a product or service.
--Able to work cross-functionally within the organization and responds appropriately to needs and capabilities of different people.
--Have a strong sense of pace and urgency to meet deadlines and optimize market opportunities.
