DescriptionThe Product Marketing Manager is expected to be an information governance expert as well as evangelist who has a commanding understanding of Proofpoint and competing technologies and know how they fit into end-to-end solutions that address the business and IT challenges of our customers. We?re seeking a hands-on , team oriented, go-getter, who is not afraid to get their hands dirty to make things happen.
This is a high-profile role requiring strong marketing and interpersonal skills, and the ability to clearly articulate competitive positioning in the market, create sales tools, and help to train and support sales, technical sales, and channel partners on Proofpoint?s services and competitive positioning. You will report to the Director, Product Marketing, and work with experienced leaders who've built and run some of the best-known companies in Silicon Valley.

Responsibilities include:
Development of sales enablement tools and materials
Direct sales support through training and in customer meetings
Evangelism of Proofpoint products and services to the sales organization, partners, and customers
Requirements:
Experience as a product manager, sales engineer, consultant or in a professional services organization highly desirable.
At least 2 years of experience at an infrastructure technology or enterprise software company, preferably with involvement in market-leading products.
Demonstrated ability to successfully work across teams.
Must be able to demonstrate both a passion for technologies and solutions, and a strong aptitude for business strategy. High energy and self-motivation are crucial.
A perspective on the right way to use Product Marketing to scale the company, and the initiative to make that perspective a reality.
