About The Position
The goal of the Product Marketing Coordinator position (PMC) is to help maximize the exposure, demand, and adoption of Granicus products across our target markets and key buyer segments. To do this, the PMC leads the creation of product positioning/messaging for marketing materials and sales enablement tools including product brochures, sales scripts, sales decks, website content, campaign communication, and proposal content. The PMC will also play a critical role in preparing sales and marketing for new product launches or releases.
From determining positioning, naming, managing feature prioritization and campaign communication creation, the Product Marketing Coordinator will help shape the voice of Granicus products and help us grow a loyal consumer base.
This position requires concise and technical writing skills, a deep understanding of market trends and competition, strong cross-team collaboration skills, as well as, strong planning and project management skills. The Product Marketing Coordinator will report directly to the Director of Marketing.
Sync regularly with Product Management to ensure that new products or feature releases are launched with appropriate communications, pricing, packaging and total organizational readiness
When products are being released or updated, the PMC is responsible for ensuring the following materials reflect these changes:
Sales proposal content
Other sales enablement tools (email templates, etc.)
Lead the creation of compelling and differentiated product messaging and positioning for all new and existing products; this will involve seeking input and buy-in from key stakeholders within product management, sales, and marketing; it will also require a solid understanding of market trends and competition
Ensuring product messaging is consistent, compelling, and accurate across all marketing channels (blog, email, website, brochures, etc.)
Lead the sales/marketing readiness planning and cross-functional execution for all new product launches/releases; this includes creating launch deliverables, coordinating product branding, helping establish campaign timelines, sales training, sales demo environments, and other dependencies
Develop the strategy and manage the marketing programs that drive demand for your products. This may include email marketing, advertising, direct mail, video etc.
Regularly and effectively evangelizing Granicus product and market leadership positioning through all marketing channels ? blog, email, web pages, video, and social media
Identify key markets and buyers for new and existing products as well as the related benefits those products offer to each segment
Stay informed on buyer and customer intelligence by regularly scheduling interviews with them to learn about their needs as well as success and usage of Granicus solutions
Sync regularly with the Product Management team on upcoming new product launches/releases and keep marketing/sales leadership informed of releases and launches that require marketing campaigns
Desired Skills and Experience
BA/ BS or equivalent education, preferred focus on Marketing /Communication/ Products.
1-3 years of software product marketing experience
