Xradia is a fast growing scientific instrument company that designs and manufactures 3D X-ray microscopes (XRM) for industrial and research applications. The company offers non-destructive high resolution/high contrast 3D imaging and quantitative analysis solutions for materials science, life sciences, geosciences, and semiconductor advanced packaging development and failure analysis. To help us drive the effective use of these instruments, we are looking for a motivated Product Marketing Engineer.
The Product Marketing Engineer (PME) plays a central role with high visibility in the day-to-day interface between the Sales and Engineering organizations in a fast-paced growth environment. This position reports directly to the Segment Marketing Manager (SMM), and primarily acts as an efficient conduit of technical and product information to the sales organization.
Responsibilities
Drive the grant support request and tender response process, ensuring delivery of high-quality written support materials of a technical nature to sales & customers.
Distillation of scientific studies (publications) and applications using XRM approaches into succinct materials in support of grant and tender support.
Responsible for factory-based technical sales support activities for Xradia?s laboratory products, acting as the ?go to? resource for sales-initiated product & technical information requests, including clarification of specifications, technical capabilities, applications, etc.
Act as primary communication path to and from sales for pre-sales technical activity.
Completion and coordination of technical responses to public tenders and solicitations for instrumentation.
Captures and logs product- and applications-related requests for sales support activities, providing feedback to Product and Segment Management.
Consults with the SMM on any externally-initiated (customer) collaboration requests.
Acts as the internal project manager for nonstandard configuration requests from sales.
An ideal candidate will exhibit the following characteristics:
Strong technical background (Bachelor's in technical field, minimum.)
Ability to distill complex scientific concepts into a clear, concise and digestible written form.
Excellent project management skills
Experience with capital equipment / microscopy industry (3+ years)
Interest and ambition in growing career into product management or product marketing.
Matrix management experience a plus
