Overview:
We have a tremendous opportunity for an experienced product marketer to join our rapidly growing company. This position will own key strategic decisions and upstream marketing responsibilities for specific product areas including market size, market opportunity and competitive assessments as well as product launches. This role will also develop positioning and create compelling content which differentiates SciQuest in the procurement and spend management market. Principal Responsibilities:
Market sizing, analysis and competitive intelligence
Identify new product and market opportunities.
Drive the positioning and messaging process
Act as primary point of contact to drive product launches and related content for specific product areas.
Create, manage and maintain marketing collateral, including content on websites and social media outlets.
Devise, develop and manage key content pieces which showcase the value of our solutions.
Manage, facilitate and develop compelling customer stories that articulate how our customers use our solutions and the benefits derived.
Communicate and present software capabilities and benefits to employees, customers, prospective customers, press, and industry analysts as required.
Strong communication and project management skills to support product launches and coordinate the development and delivery of content.
Continually develop a deeper understanding of our customer?s challenges, issues and trends.
Develop a strong understanding of our capabilities, products and offerings ? including the ability to demonstrate these products and solutions.
Position Requirements:
Bachelor?s degree in marketing, business, computer science, or quantitative field preferred.
3+ years of experience in product marketing or product management in a technology environment
Accounts Payable, e-Procurement., Contract Management or ERP product marketing or management experience preferred
Ability to lead virtual teams/lead without direct authority
Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
Proven organizational and project management skills for managing commitments, schedules, and deadlines
Strong writing skills, including the ability to translate technical information into simple language
Strong presentation and speaking skills
Desire to understand technology and products and be a ?product expert? to support marketing efforts
Possess a keen attention to detail
Ability to work independently
Familiarity or training in Pragmatic Marketing processes a plus
Ability to travel up to 25% is required
