Product Marketing Manager Desktone
Product Marketing Manager (PMM) will provide all product marketing support and material to the Desktone sales and business development teams, and to external parties such as prospects, partners, and analysts. The focus will be on the successful messaging and positioning of Desktone's products and brand, competitive research and positioning, and understanding the detailed reasons behind Desktone's wins and losses.
The PMM has a clear understanding of the cloud and virtualization markets and utilizes this knowledge to support all of the Primary Responsibilities.
To thrive in this role, the Product Marketing Manager will provide expertise in performing quantitative data analysis, exhibit outstanding writing skills, and be a dynamic and confident presenter.
This position will develop positioning, messaging, collateral and sales enablement materials. To keep Desktone ahead of the market, the Product Marketing Manager's focus and priorities will vary regularly and be directed accordingly by the VP of Marketing.

Primary Responsibilities
Market Insights - Collect market data from internal and external sources to share with executives and Product Management.
Competition - Competitive analysis at a detailed level of vendors' technology, strategy, and positioning.
Positioning - Develop on-going marketing, positioning and communications strategy for customers and partners that differentiates Desktone's products.
Value Proposition - Develop and maintain market-oriented value propositions for target markets, industries, and Desktone's products. Define the target customer and establish the buyer persona
Presentations - Present corporate level presentations and represent Desktone at industry trade events and internal events.
Sales/Business Development Engagement - Provide strategic and tactical support for Sales, Professional Services, and Business Development
Sales Enablement - Ensure that the sales organization is adequately prepared to compete by
Driving timely creation of sales support tools including collateral, sales presentations, corporate presentations, white papers, testimonials, product sheets etc.
Engaging and soliciting the worldwide sales organization to identify field requirements
Identifying product training and positioning requirements for sales off-sites and training and sharing this with Product Management
Required Skills/Experience
Minimum 3+ years enterprise software industry experience
Exposure to sales, product management and marketing is preferable
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Strong understanding of customer needs, and objectives
Effective, clear, and concise presentation skills
Solid understanding of social media outlets including LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Industry Blogs
Ability to maintain excellent colleague and peer relationships
Degree in Business-related discipline. MBA an advantage
Willingness to travel, as the job requires (estimated at 5-10%)
