Job Summary:This person will be responsible for product marketing activities for all SpaceClaim products, with a primary focus on commercial and government markets. Responsibilities include:
Developing and communicating an ongoing marketing plan, covering topics such as competitive positioning, pricing and promotions.
Working with other marketing functions to develop and drive marketing programs and promotions, and to analyze their success.
Creating collateral and sales tools (e.g., whitepapers, datasheets, sales presentations, product videos, webinar and seminar content), and communicating the appropriate product messaging to target audiences in reseller channels and end-user markets.
Working with other groups (sales, service, and product management) to support product launches, with an emphasis on sales enablement for all channels.
Conducting market research and competitive analysis.
Key requirements:
A demonstrated, hands-on track record in a product marketing role for an application software company in the engineering, CAE or CAD markets.
Experience working with indirect channels, in a global marketplace.
Strong marketing and sales orientation, with sound business judgment.
Ability to understand new technologies and markets, and a proven ability to articulate their benefits through the development of high impact sales tools and marketing programs.
Broad base of business, technical and communications skills including: an understanding of engineering/design processes, strong presentation and interpersonal skills, and solid analysis, market research and program evaluation skills.
Qualifications:
Prior experience in product marketing/management with technical software applications.
5-7 years of experience, with clear potential to assume increased responsibilities.
Experience interacting with sales, technical and executive level customers.
A team player, able to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Education:
Required: BA/BS in engineering, or other technical discipline
Master?s degree or MBA preferred.
