The Product Manager, Entertainment has cradle-to-grave responsibility for the company?s LED product portfolio for its Entertainment markets and customers. Key activities include defining the product, performance and cost roadmaps in the context of the end user?s needs and the competitive landscape. Focus markets include concert/touring, club/DJ, theater/stage, TV and Film production lighting with peripheral reach into museum, architectural and hospitality applications. The successful candidate will apply understanding of production lighting, color science and LED physics to deliver and manage products uniquely suited to the customer?s needs. Principal activities will include executing New Product Introductions through effective cross functional collaboration with engineering and finance to deliver products and revenue on schedule, managing Entertainment products through lifecycle from initiation to end of life, analyzing competitive products in the context of their performance in lighting systems, creating and maintaining all collateral materials, including data sheets, applications notes, and product overviews. determining product support requirements, including reference designs for optics, thermal and drivers and work with Systems and Application Engineering to create these,
understanding and communicating product positioning relative to competition, communicating with key customers to understand product requirements, and determining and negotiating specifications.
Qualifications include 10+ years? work experience, ideally split evenly between hands-on engineering and product management in the LED industry, BS degree in engineering (MS/MBA preferred), deep understanding of LED technology and applications, working knowledge of color science and the underlying mathematics, and ability to travel (
