About the position
As Product Marketing Manager, JRebel, you are the line-of-business owner for JRebel, our award-winning java development productivity tool, which is growing at over 100% Y/Y.
You will be responsible for developing the strategies to take this product line to the next level, navigating the marketplace and understanding customer needs.
The focus is not solely on positioning product features, rather developing customer facing solutions and messages that speak to the problems your market is facing. As our customers fall in love with this tool, we need to gather client feedback so that we can further build the tool to meet their needs.
You will work with virtually every part of the organization, collaborating closely with your Development Team Lead counterpart and contributing intensely to our understanding of the customer, the competition, and the channels in this market.
Product Marketing is considered the content owner and editor so you?ll set the priority topics while both creating content and leading the organizational resources to contribute various types of media such as bylines, blogs, video demos, webinars, and events.

What qualifies you for this role
Were at one time a Java developer (3+ years at the beginning of your career and then you made the transition to the business side)
Bachelor?s degree required. (An MBA or equivalent business experience is highly desirable.)
2+ years of product marketing experience in B2B software, Java production environment products a big plus.
Proven track record of success in high profile, market-leading companies in rapidly changing and highly competitive industries. Specific experience?
Writing ? advanced technical writing experience and experience translating technical specifications into consumer-facing information
Crafting product messaging and bringing products to market
Sales enablement ? develop sales materials to train sales and support the sales process
Presenting ?presenting to all levels of an organization is natural for you ? you?re good at it, you like it, and your audience likes you!
Market validation experience ? ability to develop a deep understanding of user needs and behaviors to apply against marketing efforts, product feature development, and measurement of customer satisfaction. Have put together and executed on market research. Initiates conversations with customers. Ability to synthesize and analyze lots of input and data points.
Meticulously think through every aspect of the user experience, putting user?s needs and expectations first as you develop clear, effective product messaging and collateral.
You possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy; a big-picture vision, and the drive and leadership to make that vision a reality.
